Ales Pudil

- pictures, oilpaintings, design, suggestions of interiors

Was born May 1st 1961 in the town of Mladá Boleslav. For nine years he has been attending an atelier of the painter Mr. Stanislav Kovar. Later he was educated at a technical college, where technical drawing and descriptive geometry (graphical communication) influenced his creative activities. For a few years he worked in the Architectural Design Institution. Since 1990 he has been working as an independant artist and now he is also the owner of the art gallery.

In the paintings from earlier period the use of the perspective is strictly exercised. Later periods were characterized by free abstraction which progressed to geometric abstraction as well as attempts to render movement, shift and rotation. In the works of late years the author tries to transform these elements with the help of oblique-angled projection into imaginative space position.
Space in the paintings is created by certain types of grids being repeatedly covered by strictly defined colour shades. Color here is not only the foundation of emotional impression and the bearer of aesthetic expression, but also an important building block for evoking an illusion of space.
Works excel in smooth, precise painting and have peaceful harmonious color surfaces being brought into harmony, which are in contrast with bright colorfull lines and delicate details. The paintings have harmonious fabric and well thought-out composition creating a continuous row.
Painting technique is very important here too. It must be pointed out that classic methods of projection, and preparation of canvases as well as oil painting itself are strictly applied. Especially nowadays, when computers, plotters, scanners and other technic methods are used in the field of art creation.
Names of works usually have nothing to do with the painting itself. The names are often found in the world of music which is another of the author´s great interests, but everyday life has its influence too.
