I don't like any talking or writing about my person, because that is narcissism by my mean. Nevertheless let me introduce.
My name is Jitka Splítková. I have already glorified my thirty third birthday on February 1997. Am I old ? I don't know. My parents wanted me
to be grown-up already in my childhood. It is come to that point I am not adult up to this day. My husband and my friends endure it the whole
time.
I finalised several different type of schools, the last one was the Economic University. I have decided to attend only to visual arts and a
writing on a professional level in the year 1990, when I studied on the Czech Academy of Science. I sought the whole time and thereafter I
have reverted to the art.
I have several faithful nonpareil representatives in the literature such as A.C.Clark, Bulgakov, Orwell, Vonnegut etc. As you see, I prefer a
science fiction.
Primeval and „primitive" art is the top of the visual arts from my point of view. I think this art is very true and emotional.
I like any music together with my partner, my friends and my work, but the music must be heartfelt. The nature and dogs are my other loves. I
like especially the dogs who are unsightly in eyes of the other people such as Bulldogs, Pugs, Mastiffs etc. I have two dogs - the French
bulldog and the German golden boxer. My dogs love perhaps all in the world and mostly visitors. But the visitors have the other point of view,
when they are slobbery and look like ragamuffins.
In the year 1997, I have been starting the serial of exhibitions with the title „THE GUESS", which will be continue till the year 2000. Each
exhibition will be organised in another city of the Czech Republic. I have selected cities by my emotional relations to them. Every exhibition
is an integrated instalment from statues, sculptures, drawings and colour and black-and-white photos. Do you ask why all these techniques
are on the same place at a time ? I think it is interesting to express one thing by several different methods.
The first exhibition „The Guess of Laughter, the Guess of Sorrow" was presented in Podìbrady (the town near to Prague) on February 1997.
The second one „The Guess of Shapes, the Guess of Colours" will be showing in Boskovice (the southern Moravia region, the town near to
Brno) on May 1997.
I think, it is full enough about me. No sensation, no mystery. To wrap an art creation in mysteries and mysticisms is a last prevalent trend. It is
not my intention. Only a sarcasm is truly in my work.
